Picaresque Project Yu Akutagawa Solo Exhibition, Related information.
A concert that is composed based on the paintings by Akutagawa called "Boy" and "Girl".
Out of the pair ”Boy” and ”Girl”, "Boy" has been set up for a sales contract, which means that on the evening of the concert, Saturday August 16th, the works will be together for the last time. In the morning of Sunday August 17, "Boy" will be shipped towards the buyer.
For ”Boy” and ”Girl” to be able to face each other properly for the last time on this evening, beautiful violin and electronic piano music will paint them in tone colors.
For this occasion, we welcome you to also invite your loved one to show your support for ”Boy” and ”Girl”. You are warmly welcomed.

A first time project for Picaresque Gallery.
We have the pleasure of introducing both previous as well as new works from artist Yu Akutagawa.
At two occasions during the exhibition, performances will be held referred to as "Deciphering works through sound”, consisting of two parts; improvisational pieces of music, coming directly through inspiration from Akutagawa’s paintings, as well as already existing songs, carefully selected from conceptions or ideas inspired from the works of Akutagawa, will be played in concert.

Violinist Oike Ami and electronic piano player Kubo Natsumi will perform the songs that was selected inspired by the series of works by Akutagawa called ”Abstract Forest” and ”Strobo Lights”.
In a workshop from 14:00 to 15:00, we will provide visitors with the opportunity to play together. From 15:15 to 16:00, a mini-concert will be held, where compositions that delve deep into the world of the works of Akutagawa will be performed. It will be an in the moment, honest and straightforward concert. Children are also warmly welcomed, so by all means feel free to come and enjoy the event.
